Sportexcel Grand Final 2009

MMM let’s see. After so many blog posts, i dont know how to start this one. I really wanted to come up with something eye-catchy, but i guess i havent reached that level yet. Let me collect more points first This update is actually exactly 10 days overdue. I was kinda caught up with studying too much, has been studying day and night, get it??? 

The grand final of the sportexcel of the year 2009, the last sportexcel of the year. It’s actually held together with the Malaysian Open to allow juniors to head to the curve the watch professionals play. We actually watched the Malaysian Open finals on Saturday. Nicol!! as usual, won the malaysian open with a 3-1 win over allison waters.

On to the grand final, i finished number 7 yet again. Guess it’s really a lucky number 7. Well, i did not really do much this tournament, did not play really well, nor REAL bad. Just, same!  though a change might have been nice. Well, this trip wasnt very interesting either. Especially at the curve. Gosh! It was god damn boring there, we really cant find anything to do there! The place, i can say is filled with empty-ness. Well, i did bought a shirt from a puma warehouse sale there though, it rocks!  but other than that, EMPTY! All i can say is the food there had a big variety! Sadly, we people cant go to expensive restaurants and enjoy the food there, so, we just settle down for some McD’s. Ha!

I’m not gonna play another tournament until after i’m done with my spm. Well cause, ONE, there aint any tournament left until end of the year, TWO, i have to take the presumed BIGGEST exam of my secondary school life. Well, after SPM, i’m free from school! unless i go to form 6. I could do SOOOO much after SPM! Especially when i DO NOT have to go for the National Service (NS)! 

I really admire those who knows what they ‘want to become’ in the future, who knows exactly what they want and need in their life, cause, at least they have a target to look to. Even if they couldn’t achieve their target, at least they’re not staring a blank walls with no answers whatsoever. So for those of you who DO know what you want yourself to study, or know what you want to do after SPM, good luck and keep up with it. And for those of you just like me who’s currently, sesat! Uhhh. I guess we could find something some time in the future 

My blog has not been filled with pictures these few post, so now here i am, filling my blog with pictures – even though there’s very less pictures of me, it’s still good enough. Much thanks to katharine/nattasha, who ‘kidnapped’ my cam to take photos! At least i have something to post of my blog

Sportexcel 4th Leg

The squash Sportexcel 4th leg passed like, over a week ago. And, only now, i’m updating about it. That’s cause i’m busy with life – You know, study, play, bla bla.  This tournament! is held in penang. So, players from other state came all the way up to penang. Not much players played this tournament, cause, it’s a ‘closed leg’. Haha. 16 players an age group. Hence, there are only 16 X 6(6 age groups) = 96 players.

As usual, i played in the Under 19 age group. Well, i was seeded 12th for this tournament. First round, i played Raja Adam from Kuala Lumpur. Manage to scrap a victory of him. A 4-setter match. Almost lost it in the 4th game. Luckily, i managed to win the last set. So, that puts me in the top 8. Then, i played with Addeen, from Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) in the quaters. In this match, I was leading 2 sets at first, but then screw it up and lost the game 3-2. Wth man!  I should’ve be more careful.

Well, that puts me into the 5-8 category. I then, played with Marcus Yuen from Selangor. Was tired from the morning match with addeen. Lost it 3-1. Ah well. Finally, i won on the last day, against low weng onn from Perak. 3-1 again. So, i finished 7th. 

On saturday, which is the second day of the tournament, after the match, i went to Queensbay with yassin and raffie. I don’t even know why i went there. Maybe just for fun. We walked around for some time. Then, headed home. Then, on the next day, sunday, after matches ended in the afternoon, i went to stallion – the apartment where players stayed, and have a swim with them. Played weird/tiring games. 

That’s about it for the entire tournament. Gosh i miss tournaments.. And, sorry, no pictures here

Recap – Penang International Junior Open 09

The tournament ended yesterday. 8th of  June. On the last day, i beat a singaporean to finish 5th in the Under 17 category. And for that, i received a hideous looking/small trophy. Haha. But, the cool thing about the trophy is, there’s a thing at the centre, which can spin! haha. Hilarious. Well, i started this tournament seeded 6th. And, i’m lucky to have finished above my seedings.

Well, yesterday, after my match. I went out to lunch – again! But now with extra people. Ivan, nicholas, me, Jee nee, justin, and slim. Haha. At first it was just me ivan and nicholas. But then, last minute, they decided to tag along. So, off we go via ivan’s car. We went to have a bite at e-gate. Noodle Station! We rushed through lunch actually. Cause, prize presentation started when we were eating. Haha! Guess what, we even managed to make it back in time.

Oh well, i did had some fun during this tournament. Running around here and there. Haha. I’m surely gonna miss some of these moments. Here are some photo during the tournament.

It continues…

Updates on Penang Junior! I, am playing a singaporean tomorrow – for 5th, 6th placing. Oh well. I played kah wah on saturday. Lost 3-0. And, today, i played with elroy, AGAIN! haha. But this time i won. Phhew. But, he didn’t want to play. He was like, not chasing the ball. Baaah.

After my match today, i showered  and changed and followed ivan and nicholas to tesco. For lunch. We had lunch in the chicken rice shop! haha! Then, when we were going in ivan’s car when we’re leaving, there’s a man approached ivan. He BEGGED ivan for some cash. He even came up with a big storyline. I aint sure he’s lying or what but here the story goes … “Can you please help me? I just had an accident on the road. My bike was spoiled. And, my bag went missing as during the accident happened, somebody stole my bag. I went to the police station but the police refuse to service me and asked me to make a report on another police station. Then, i took my bike to service and it costs RM35. I’m not asking you to pay all, i already paid RM25. Can you please give me RM10 so my bike can be fixed? My friend was suppose to give me the cash and even set up and meeting with him. But, i waited for 3 hours but he did not showed up.” LOL. It’s actually hard to believe. He encountered an accident, but i dont see a single scratch on him. Ivan kesian-ed him and gave him RM5. He seemed unsatisfied. Then, we speed off. haha.

Ah well, went back to courts after lunch, i have no match in the afternoon but ivan and nicholas do. I’ve to wait for them to finish their match only we can go to gurney. At gurney, we went to breeks for dinner. Haha. I ordered fish and chips. Then, dennis came along and joined us. Initially, we did not decide to watch a movie, but then, last minute we decided to watch terminator! haha. Weird show. I dont freaking understand the show. Made me sleepy. Then, went to McD’s. For like, supper? Made loads of jokes there. Really funny. Treasure the moments.

I better stop typing as i have a early match tomorrow morning. 9am. First match.

Day 1 Penang International Junior Open

Penang International Junior Open has started today! Woo~ Haha. I’m playing Under 17. Am seeded 6th. I played the second round today – against jonathan, my team-mate in penang. Won 3-0. I’m playing Hayate Gunji from Japan tomorrow. He’s also my training mate in penang. Haha. He came to penang to train. I really hope i dont screw the match up tomorrow! If not …

Well, after my match today, was hanging around with yassin and darren. Then, they suddenly decide to go queensbay. So, i might as well tag along. Since i have nothing much to do at home. Yassin is legal on the road with a bike. So, i rode along with him to queensbay. Darren was also with us, of course, with his bike. Damn, he’s mad There, did nothing much. Just, had dinner and watch a movie – 17 again, staring zac effron.

The movie was cool. Interesting. Haha. You guys should really watch it Erm there are some performances that had to be performed by some of us during the dinner of the tournament. It’s complicating.

Baah. I’ve got to rest now.
