40th District Interact Conference
Sunday, November 23rd, 2008Heeeeeey all! :w00t: I AM BACK! From the conference, and i can tell you guys, honestly, I had a BOMB there!! Yeah. Definitely better than what i expected. The hotel was good! Obviously better than the dome that we all were supposed to stay at. We (Penang) came late and there is not enough rooms at the dome, so they are forced to book a hotel for us. Well, not only us, about 60 something 70. We thought the hotel is in a bad condition from the looks outside. But, it was different when we went inside. Not perfect la, but still, it is wayyyy better than the dome.
The first thing after we arrived, we were divided into groups. There are like 21 groups there. For around 426 people. (Approx.) Then, we had to come up with team cheers and slogans and a team name. You know, the normal stuffs for this type of programs. We were divided carefully. Nobody from the same state would be on the same team. At least nobody from my team that i knew. But of course, we got to know each other later on.
Then, there is also an comedy session for all of us to enjoy. The comedian was introduce as “Russel Peters”. Of course, it was fake. It was actually a rotaractor named Ravinder Singh. His profession wasn’t a comedian but a lawyer. Yeah. His jokes are okay. Can say it is funny. Then, after that were some games. Won’t elaborate on that too much.
2nd day, the day where it counts the most. As activities that day were the most important ones. I only will mention some important ones. So, first up, some flag activities. Haha. Sorry. Then, follow on by speeches and then an indian speaker came and gave a talk, entitled “Forget No More”. He tought us how to memorize better. He’s an National Record Holder, as he memorized 1070 numbers/alphabets. He even demonstrated. Well, there are some errors but eventually he got it right. Then, follow on by lunch, and then more speeches and speech from rotaractor Bernard Hor. He is a CEO of SummerSands. Yeah! Haha. He thought us varies things. He said “Do you think it is perfectly fine not to know what are you going to do in the future?” Well, answer’s no. Oh well, he also said plenty of things which i would not like to elaborate on that as i’m lazy  Then, there’s an activity for us. Which lasts very long! From 3pm to 8.30pm. We were divided according to groups as arranged and worked together to create a business. And later have to convince the judges to invest in their business. And would have to use Power Point to present the presentation. And eventually, our team won!! *woo! applause!* Haha. Okay. After everything ended, it’s already 11 something. The bus only fetches those who stays at the hotel at 12.30am. So, That is when The Moo Moo club was started! Rotaractor Bernard Hor and Rotaractor Calvin was the founder of this little club. They would hit the chairs the ask this question : “How many cows crossed THE FENCE?” There were quite a lot of people surrounding them, wanting to join the club. Some DID guess correct the answer and how they counted the cows. If one guess right the answer but couldn’t explain how they got the answer, is not inducted into this club. So, I, Johnny, Louis, Chee Hong and Darrenjit were sitting there for so long and still did not know how the cows were counted. Oh gawd! So frustrating la! Damn! And until now, I STILL DON’T KNOW HOW TO COUNT THOSE STUPID COWS!!!!! :cwy: Ahh! gave up. And during that recuiting of club members, that was when the Darrenjit and Princess thingy was on-going  It’s damn funny! Haha.
3rd day, nothing much today. It’s the last day and there were not many activities. Just, dancing at the end. Oh well, pictures DO paint a thousand words. So.. Here goes. As promised, took plenty of photos!!! :silly:

So, this door, is very advance. Even those 5 stars hotels that i went before don’t have it. The door, has an alarm system. So, if the handle is pulled for too long, an alarm will sound. Of course the not too loud one! Just a ringing sound.

It was MY room and i had to sit on the floor!

Our Hotel – Comfort Hotel

Louis just came back from Hawaii.

Waiting for the bus.

Those Rotaractors/Rotarians have to dance! With a move-it move-it soundtrack!

The crowds.

Burger King Sungai Buloh!

Ah Ha! This guy. Let me talk more about this idiotic guy. How about a little intro on him? His name is Lim Boon Chui. (Stupid enough?) He is an rotarian (what a disgrace!) I really doubt he could be a rotarian, he is more like a teacher or something. Well, maybe he is. I don’t know, and don’t really care. So, scenario 1, first day, Louis got a cap, but it’s in a unfavourable condition. So, he requested the person there to change for him. So, this Boon Chui, was talking to the counter people about something and then Louis pops in and requested a change. The Boon Chui then, without hesitation, declined! He said “NOT NOW!” For god’s sake! He ain’t even the caretaker of the counter. He was just, i don’t know, doing something stupid there.
Scenario 2, Johnny’s nose was bleeding. At the hotel, Chee Hong being his room-mate, helped him in tidying up. I and louis and darren went down already. They were a bit late, we waited for them at the lobby. Then this boon chui then got angry and said the last person on the bus will get it. Then, that time Johnny was already down but Chee Hong wasn’t. He forgotten to bring something. Then, he is the last. And this boon chui scolded him. Tell everyone in the bus it is because of Chee Hong. Come on man! You are truly pathetic. And said chee hong is RESPONSIBLE for everything. lol.
Scenario 3, The last day. We (Penang) check-out early in the morning and then put our bags in a room around the hall there, For storage. Then, when we want to go back, we asked for the keys to those doors. And so unluckily he was there when we asked for the keys. He crapped that he wanted to see the president, the bus driver, the whoever in the world he would like to see until he is satisfied, then only he would give us the keys. For i-dont-know what reason he did that! My god! Boon Chui is pathetic! Useless! Retarded! ![]()

Boon Chui.
That’s Boon Chui right there! Doing something stupid again! haha. And it was me in the black-striped shirt
That’s ALLLL!!!
“One must have a good memory to be able to keep the promises that one makes. – Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche”
That means i have a good memory? ![]()
